Fairway School

In order to lift our spirits, we are proud to be launching Fairway's very own ‘Performance Poetry Competition’. Children of all ages are invited to upload videos of themselves performing poetry. The inspiration for this came from the recent presidential inauguration ceremony. If you didn’t see it, Google: ‘Amanda Gorman, Youth Poet Laureate.’ This young lady has the most captivating energy!'

All Fairway children are invited to write their own poems if they wish or record themselves performing their favourite poem.*

Younger children may wish to recite their favourite nursery rhyme. They could even dress up as their favourite nursery rhyme character. 

We are judging the individual's performance and delivery, as opposed to the poem itself. Prizes will be awarded to the winner in each class!
